Should (or Will) Shaitan Win? (Part 1)

If the answer is no, then why…

…do we find it hard to keep clean when Muslims should be the cleanest of all, setting an example?

The Messenger of Allah (saw) said: Cleanliness is half of faith and al-Hamdu Lillah (Praise be to Allah) fills the scale, and Subhan Allah (Glory be to Allah) and al-Hamdu Lillah (Praise be to Allah) fill up what is between the heavens and the earth, and prayer is a light, and charity is proof (of one’s faith) and endurance is a brightness and the Holy Qur’an is a proof on your behalf or against you. All men go out early in the morning and sell themselves, thereby setting themselves free or destroying themselves. (Sahih Muslim, Book 2 Hadith 1)

…do we waste and not practice moderation as we have been guided by Allah ;

O children of Adam, take your adornment at every masjid, and eat and drink, but be not excessive. Indeed, He likes not those who commit excess. (Surah Al-A’raf, Verse 31)

Thus, have We made of you an Ummat justly balanced, that ye might be witnesses over the nations, and the Messenger a witness over yourselves; and We appointed the Qibla to which thou wast used, only to test those who followed the Messenger from those who would turn on their heels (From the Faith). Indeed it was (A change) momentous, except to those guided by Allah. And never would Allah Make your faith of no effect. For Allah is to all people Most surely full of kindness, Most Merciful. (Surah Al-Baqarah, Verse 143)

What are we waiting for…

Have we not seen the signs? Or Do we know what are signs? Or Are we so consumed with the materialistic world that we ignore the signs? Lest we forget, the day when we will all be judged is fast approaching and the signs are staring us in the face…

Competing to build the tallest building…

Tall Buildings

Intoxicants will be drunk in great quantity …

Alcohol Consumption

Illegal sexual intercourse will become widespread …

Illegal Intercourse

Shaitan made a promise to Allah that he will mislead mankind until the Day of Judgment; and this is after Allah granted him reprieve until the Day of Judgment for not prostrating to Adam when requested by Allah.

[Iblees] said, “My Lord, because You have put me in error, I will surely make [disobedience] attractive to them on earth, and I will mislead them all (Surah Al-Hijir, Verse 39)

Except, among them, Your chosen servants” (Surah Al-Hijir, Verse 40)

So what will or can we do to win…

(The author intends to create a series reminding himself and the ummah that the signs of Day of Judgement are staring us in the face and we have to ensure that we do not let Shaitan fulfill his promise to Allah)
