At AREES our goal is not simply to teach you, but rather to empower you with knowledge that will evolve you as a person. We encourage you to think, to practice, and to take action, by taking your knowledge to the next level. We aim to produce students who benefit themselves, their families, and their communities bi'idhnillah!

Registration and Payment

Our registration process is simple, quick, and easy! Click on the banner above, select and pay for the courses you wish to study and that's it!

Payment is submitted per class; you can choose to take one course or choose from several courses within one semester. With this setup you only pay for and attend classes that you want; there is no requirement to sit through any other courses other than the ones you have chosen and registered for.

Payments can be made by mail or online through our secure checkout process. (For mail payments, please indicate which courses you are signing up for when sending the payment).

Fees for each class differ based on various factors; there isn't one flat fee per class. Class fees can be found below under the class descriptions.

Setup and Details

The semesters for our E-Institute work like the semesters for any other western institution. We will have fall, spring, and summer sessions.

With our E-Institute everything is done online; there is no need to fax or mail in any material. Once registered for a class, the class videos can be obtained by logging-in to the E-Institute program. Assignments, quizzes, and exams will all be submitted online and grades will also be accessible. This gives the student a large amount of flexibility to be able to learn at their own convenience from one easy-to-use program.

Students will receive detailed information and semester schedule for their classes once they register.

Each class will have a certain amount of sessions, based on the content of the class. For example, class sessions range from 8 sessions to 14 sessions based on the class that you choose. Each student is expected to complete all class sessions by the end of the semester; students must sign in once weekly and take one class per week per subject that they have enrolled in. Students who plan to procrastinate, will be planning to fail. Our system (in general) automatically removes one class per week from the student's access. Unlike other programs, we are aiming for your success and helping you to be consistent by keeping up with the course work.

Each course will have quizzes, midterms and finals. Students are expected to take their own notes, and keep up with the reading material and/or books to prepare for their exams. Students will also have the option to ask questions about the course and course material.

Class credit hours are based on each individual class; passing a class will earn you the credit hours for that class.

Once a student completes the entire E-Institute program, all courses online and scores 80% or higher, if the student chooses, they will be allowed to drive/fly to Houston to take an on-location cumulative and oral exam.

In order to graduate, students must complete all course work, pass all exams, complete 1 research paper at the end of the 3-year term as well as 1 paper due at the end of every year. Students are also required to memorize 3 Juz from the Qur'an.

Aqeedah: The Rope of Faith (AQDA 1102): The Foundations of Islamic Belief: The essence of Islam is found in its belief system. Every culture and people has its practices, but where do these practices come from? The heart being the center of the soul, it is important to realize what is required internally for a Muslim to be a true believer, and not just someone who falls into cultural habits due to his/her surroundings. This class will teach you what makes Islam unique and how to perfect your faith.

Akhlaaq: Refining the Self (AKLQ 1101): Developing Islamic Character: The Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam said that he was sent to perfect the character. It is no wonder since character is how a person conducts his/herself at all times- and what is more fitting for a religion to instruct human beings in. It is the ultimate demonstration of a person's knowledge, educational training, and faith. Being conscious of yourself and your actions is a must since Islam is an entire way of life. Instead of giving in to being driven by our emotions and weaknesses, conscious or otherwise, this class will map out the ideal Muslim character and inshallah help you in your quest to achieve it.

Fiqh: Understanding the Religion (Fiqh 1103): Deriving Islamic Law: "Fiqh" literally means understanding. So the study of Fiqh, or Islamic jurisprudence and laws is a derivation of the sources of Islam. In other words, if  you truly understand Islam, you will understand how to extract rulings (or at least in your early studies understand how scholars came to the conclusions that they did). This class will teach you how to apply Islam in theory and give you a blueprint for fulfilling the duties of a Muslim.

Taareekhatul Islaam (History of Islaam) - From the Beginning... (HIST 1107): Contrary to popular belief, Islam did not start with the Prophet Muhammad sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam. Rather, it started with the creation of man, and with the first human being, Adam 'alaihis-salaam. Follow the history of the Prophets, including a focus on the biography of the Final Messenger as well as his Companions and Followers radhi'allaahu 'anhum. In order to truly understand Islam we need to see how it was revealed, practiced, and upheld by the original people it was sent to. Within their examples are our keys to success, for though they lived long ago, they were successful spiritually first and materially later. We as a nation are in a time of training and this class will help us study their lives and see how to shape ourselves so we may attain the true success as we follow the path they established.
